Tara Gillion, ASP, CRCP-P, chief operations officer for Serbin Medical Billing, will be presenting at the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association's (ASCA) 2022 Virtual Coding & Reimbursement Seminar.
The event will be split among three half days on January 10, 18, and 24.
Gillon's session is titled "Streamline and Improve Your ASC's Revenue Cycle." It's scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 18, from 1:15 pm–2:15 pm ET.
The session is described as follows: "Make sure your ASC gets paid accurately and on time for all the services your staff and physicians provide by conducting a start-to-finish review of your ASC’s revenue cycle and finetuning every step of the way. Learn how to improve your up-front functions to reduce your back-end costs; what your charge and payment posters need to know; when to appeal a claim and when to educate your billing and coding staff; why coding experience counts; and ways to put your audit information to work for your ASC."
Gillon has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and 10 years in ASC revenue cycle management. In her current position, she leads the management team that oversees day-to-day operations, working with clients and Serbin Medical Billing staff to ensure the best possible reimbursement outcomes. She also provides reporting and trending for Serbin Medical Billing's clients, as well as providing education on payer issues and accounts receivables.
Gillon has managed revenue for multiple specialties and sites, including ASCs, large multi-specialty practices with primary and specialty care, hospital, nursing home, radiology, physical therapy, sleep labs, and laboratory services.
