Serbin Medical Billing's Tara Gillon Earns Distinguished Revenue Cycle Award

Tara Gillon, ASP, CRCP-P, vice president of operations for Serbin Medical Billing, has earned an impressive award as a result of her pursuit of education excellence.

Tara was recently awarded the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) Award of Excellence. Tara earned this award for receiving the highest score in the country on her Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) certification exam for the 2018-2019 year.

As AAHAM notes, earning the CRCP certification, which is intended for supervisors and managers in the revenue cycle industry, requires in-depth knowledge of functional areas, including registration (front desk), billing, credit and collections, and revenue cycle management. Furthermore, earning the certification validates the knowledge and skills possessed by a competent mid-level revenue cycle supervisor or manager.

AAHAM describes itself as the "premier professional organization in healthcare administrative management," serving as a "one-stop resource center for information, education and advocacy in the areas of reimbursement, admitting and registration, data management, medical records, patient relations and so much more."
