Insurance Collection Specialist for Ambulatory Surgery Centers

Serbin Medical Billing is growing and looking for an experienced Insurance Collection Specialist. Qualified person must have at least one (1) year of medical collection experience. Collections in an ambulatory surgery center is preferred. This is a full-time, in office position (Location: Fort Myers, FL). To be considered you must possess:

• Knowledge of medical billing, insurance guidelines and appeals process

• Knowledge of insurance carrier billing and an in-depth understanding of explanation of benefits (EOBs)

• Familiarity with third-party payer contracts, allowances, fee schedules

• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT codes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Ability to write effective appeals to third-party payers

• Comfort when interacting with third-party payer representatives

• At least one year of experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Knowledge of computers and Windows-based software

• Excellent command of written and spoken English

• Communication and time management skills

• Cooperative work attitude

• Good problem-solving skills
